Thankful - Nov.4

A trinket I am thankful for..

Trinkets seem like a weird thing to be thankful for, and the word trinket makes me think of something small and cute, which makes me think of Sienna.
But she is in fact not a trinket..
Maybe like a locket is a trinket, but I'm not much of a collector of such things..
So, I'm thinking more of a gadget..
And something immediately pops into my mind when I think of a gadget.

This guy.. It's called an "Open It" and it is the single coolest thing we own.
I bought it for Ryan as a last minute addition last holiday season
while in the check out line at the Bed Bath and Beyond.
You know about the check out line there right?
It's insane!
Gadgets and Trinkets GALORE!

Miranda and I were there buying some dog stairs for our parents for Christmas.
We were giddy at the idea of those dog stairs.
Patting ourselves on the back super hard because of what geniuses we were for coming up with such a thoughtful and sensible present.
Dog stairs.
Come on.
But we were thinking that then their dog could get on and off their bed without waking them up late at night and early in the morning...

We should have just picked up an "open it" for them too.
They would have gotten more use out of it that's for sure.
Their dumb dog never could figure out how to use them,
and then Jack broke the stair case the very next after Christmas visit.
So.
If you are in need of the best trinket\gadget for your loved one this holiday season.
 Don't hesitate.
But just know.
Your husband may scoff at his "open it" in his stocking,
but will be so full of his own words
(ya know, from eating them)
by the end of Christmas Day.
This little guy keeps husbands in good moods during the opening, unziptying, battery putting inning, and taped boxes/DVD plastic cutting chaos of Christmas morning.
It's been said throughout this last year how that $10 gadget/trinket? was the best present of the year 2012.

So. There ya go.

A trinket I'm thankful for.
You are welcome.
