I show love through food.

So.
I show my love through food.
I know I have mentioned that I am not much of a domestic-istist.
And I'm not.
But I can create a spread.
Because I like food.
And I can follow a recipe.
But like, if I were on Iron Chef America I would just end up in the fetal position after the secret ingredient was revealed.
 For sure.
But anyways.
I love food.  It's really unfortunate.
But did you hear? There are actually 6 languages of love.
Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Receiving Gifts
Acts of Service
Physical Touch
and the redheaded step child
Food Giving.

It's your birthday?
Let me make you some monkey bread for breakfast,
A special smiley face sandwich for lunch,
and your favorite Cafe Rio pork burritos for dinner.

A holiday?
We better decorate the kitchen with tacky crape paper
and make food colored, special shaped pancakes.

You had a bad day at work?
I'm going to make a new special soup that warms souls on bad days at work.

Other girls were mean at school?
Lets head down to the JCW's for an expensive shake.
That should band aid those mean girl wounds.

Sick?
Chicken noodle soup.  Absolutely.
(with homemade mashed potatoes, some fresh french bread, and maybe cheesecake?)

I was a crazy screaming maniac this morning because you absolutely cannot change the speed of which you put on your shoes and brush your teeth no matter how many times I scream that if you miss the bus you are really going to have to walk to school this time!!?
Surely you can expect some phenomenal  funfetti cupcakes waiting for you when you get home from school.  Peace offering.

Family night?
Usually some form of enchilada.

Oh. Ryan wants to invite a few friends over for dinner?
Surely I better spend at least a Benjamin at the Smiths to make sure they still like us when they leave.

Ryan would take a plate of nachos over any of this nonsense.
Spending money on food makes him crazy.

And Tatum would be just fine with pretzel gold fish, and some string cheese.

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me.

But. But. But.
Last weekend, we had Tatum a little Christmas bash.
And those girls.
They appreciated my love language.

See.Watch.
See?  Yay me!

The only thing is
I didn't plan anything else for this shindig.
hmmph.
I mean, party. food. party. food. party. food.
Is there anything else at a good party?
That my friends is in the eye of the beholder.
April beholds party. food. party. food. party. food.
I stand by the food table and wait for people to come talk to me there.
I always have a good time.  Try it.

Good thing the girls were more than happy to Beiberize our party all on their own.
When your 10 you behold this.
Beiber. food. beiber. food. beiber. food.
I'm getting all silly with this Beiberbusiness.
But, he's a party of our family, and not to be ignored.

And ps. DO NOT ASSUME THAT MY CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN IS ANYTHING BUT PERFECT.
I damn near went into cardiac arrest okay.

Beiber Dance Party.

Watching the Beiber Macy's commercial.
Look at the joy.
They watched it at least 5 times
I'm not kidding.

At least they had fun!
:)

I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!
and food.

Some things you need to know.

Things change around here every single day.
I hear having a baby does that.
(Sarcasm there.  All of the change over the last year have almost put me in my grave)
But. I'm all better now.  Don't worry.
Onward.
JackJack gave purees the ol boot.
He  gags if the spoon even comes toward his mouth.
And slaps the spoon.
And you.
Serious.
So.. deli ham, and annies cheese crackers are the new sweet potatoes and corn.
I cant say I blame him.
He has started snuggling with certain people.
I am not one of them unfortunately.
Sad.
One thing that hasn't (and hopefully wont) changed..
Is that JackJack loves his sister more than anything.
Above is the first time he had seen her since she was at her dads for the weekend.
He just wants to eat her face off.
And tries to.
Hard.
Last night we sat at our kitchen table.
We never ever do that.
It makes Tate mad.
It is usually decoratively set.
We eat at our bar.
Or in the living room..In front of the TV.
I know, I know.
Bad Mommy.
Cute house though?
Anyways.. Tatum set the table all by herself.  It looked great, and she was super proud!
On most blogs you will find pictures of delicious food.
On mine, you will find goolosh, and refridgerated Pilsbury's rolls.
Although I must say, that piknic made it look much more appetizing than the orig pic.
Thanks again Picnik!
A few more things..
JackJack has a bajillion toys. And he plays with the q-tip box all day.
And tries tirelessly to catch an open laptop.
Also..
Ryan sucks at diapering a wiggly baby.

Oh.. And after a quick once over of this post.. I guess I don't require my kid to wear clothes very often.
Sorry.
